How to enter keys manually for Coolsat
Here's how to manually Load Keys for the Coolsats:
On your remote control,
Press 8282, this will bring up the Key Edit menu. The #1 box at the top should say Nagravision. If box #1 does not say Nagravision, you may need to scroll to box #72 using the right or left arrow buttons on your remote. The CAS should read Nagravision. The Ident should read Dish Network (0001), below that, there should be 4 boxes on the left that have 10, 11, 20, 21 in them with numbers and letters to the right of those numbers. This is where the current key data is located and may need to be changed manually from time to time. Autoroll files normally make these steps unnecessary but the occasional unforseen circumstances make changing the data necessary but easy to do.
UPDATED INSTRUCTIONS/INFO:
Press the down arrow button to highlight whichever is the Current Active Key(s) which will be either
10 or 11 = Key 00 Data / 20 or 21 = Key 01 Data or both as determined by the Key gathering program you are using such as CyberDBS, KeyMaster, Get Keys, Jeepers, Maestra etc.,

Thanks, but would of been nice if the first post would say this.
That isn't the only place where the instructions are wrong.

k my friend the key
key00:XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX 16 PAIRS right
you will put the first 8 pairs in the line beside the #10
10:XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX
and the others 8 pairs in the line #11
11:XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX
now the key 01
KEY 01:XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX 16 pairs
you will put the first 8 pairs in the line #20
20:XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX
and the others 8 pairs in the line #21
21:XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX
if you put the right keys but some channels are missing just do an auto or blind scan

I understood the previous post. The point I was making the OPs' post didn't say this and misinformation is elsewhere.

I have not seen any support for the Starsat since July and I don't think they are going to come out with anything new but here is their site Satellite Softwares good luck or upgrade to Viewsat Ultra.

Please post next time in PanSat Forum or go to Forum page & look for Keys Discussions.
Here are 3 Key Tools for your desktop so next time you won't need to look for keys again.

Thank very much for clarifying how to enter the keys on a Coolsat 5000. I have another problem, I get all the channel of 110, however channels of 119 are most scrambled. I like to watch channel 600 (RAI International) but I can't. Does anyone know the problem? The level of reception is great (93%).
Thanks
Duranem
