Someone in an earlier post squawked "its the unscrupulous dealers dumping the 6000, not Coolsat!" Bull$@%T! Coolsat is responsible for marketing its products, it should be responsible for a product recall also, at least for the 6000.

Keep defending them, Coolsat needs all the helpers it can get.

I think if there was enough pressure, they would release a new bin for the older Coolsats. All someone has to do is put up a dedicated website warning people not to buy Coolsat receivers. WWW.NOCOOLSATS.COM! I guarantee they would cave in. Anyone who would search google for Coolsat would find this site. I might seriously think about doing this myself.

If you would go to that much trouble...then why not just learn how to be a coder.

I would love nothing more, if it was that easy. I've done simple coding in the past in 'C and Visual Basic, its alot more difficult and time consuming trying to figure out code you don't know. I'm sure someone might figure it out, I hope so. Most likely it will be someone from Korea that will crack this code, they don't have to worry about getting cracked down by DishNetwork. Clones are developed in Asia, this would be an opertunity for someone to continue building these Coolsat models and write bins for them since Coolsat and Norw has now abandoned them.

respondiiendo a la confianza que depositamnos al comprar estos equipos,pansat sus
equipos modelo 2500 estan activados, y responde a la confianza de sus clientes,gracias al sr. saltamontes pude activar mi viejo pansat, y mi coolsat 6000
sigue apagado,espero que el sr. satelighter y sus modificaciones para convertir coolsat 4, 5,6, en skyviews, esperamos para los novatos poder entenderlos para hacer LA MODIOFICACION.

coolsat 5000 is my first fta machine. Had it for the last two years but it's starting to annoy me when it goes down while my neighbor's conaxsat mini is watching UFC!

i feel your pain with my coolsat 4000. if an official fix doesn't come out by saturday (yeah, ha ha good one) then i'll end up testing old bins since i hear they work on the 5k's and 6k's right now.

hi all I have a coolsat and it does well,when we get a fix.I`mgoing to get a sonicview since it comes up faster.and wait for fixes on the coolsat i already have a infushion,and the computer keeps it running.tks for giving me a chance to,get this all said

I really shouldn`t worry about the coolsat because some times i have waited 2 weeks for a fix ,so have learned to deal with it it just makes me enjoy life without a tv playing all the time,so you all out there try to enjoy life without a tv ,like they did years ago ,when there was none.

That is old news.
It was working about a week ago on some older bins...but they are down now too.
If you want TV get a supported model like the CoolSat6100. (cheap)
And if you want even faster support...get a SonicView4000 or 360 model.

I think you will be happy with the sv4000. I was a cool sat die hard. It's an excellent product. Support is a different story. I finally bit the bullet about 2 mo ago and got a sv4k. Best decsion I ever made. Only been down a couple of times and only for about an hour at most. Very user friendly. Still keep my cs4k around though
