My 7100 is doing the same thing. This sucks! It's right during the playoff games. They did this on purpose.
So does this happen to CoolSat boxes a lot? I've had this happen twice now, and both in the course of 2 months.
If I had to buy it all over again, I'd probably research it a little better. I don't know if all the brands have a tendency to do this.

The coolsat boxs have very poor support, there is not way I would ever buy another one, and the 5000 was my first receiver. The viewsat is very nice receiver and the support is 2nd to none!

I'm assuming you're talking about the Echostar Autoroll option. I tried turning that off and it hasn't helped.
What does that option do anyway?
