adding a sat to coolsat 4000?

How do you add a satellite to a CS4000 sat list? (I would like to have 83 AMC9 to the list).

I'm just trying to use the CS4000 for true FTA.

first u have to find a sat list then u use u'er loader to load it or u can go to langsat and get the tp # for that sat an load then u'er self(this is a lot of work but u can do it)
go to manule scan ,run the sat list back to 0.0e then hit 1 on your remote (it well ask add or edit) to add type in the #(like 89.7w)then hit ok
drop down to tp hit 1 agion and add or edit (put in the tp u want hit down)
go back to the tp list an repeet as meny times as u have tp's
then go to antaina setup an set your lnb type(signel or uni)
then do auto scan

u well also have to find that sat in the sky(if u had a 6000 u could just blind scan everything an it would add the sat and the TPs for u)i've got a 4000 and a 6000

I am only needing to add one sat (AMC9-83W) & then only or 4 tps on that.

Where do I get a satellite list.

what are u tring to get hughesnet? 11735 is the only tp in the clear the rest are scrambeled feeds and hughes net(and there are 24 tp on this sat(lyngsat)

no its can be because collsat 4000 do not have a files for months ,then you need new files for it.

e just needs to edit his sat list (goto manuiel scan (goto sat 79w amc5)
hilite the TP list )hit 1 on the keypad of your remote,(it well ask u add or edit) then add this TP 11735 H)now make sure ypur pointed att 83w and scan 79w
the settings for 79w ars the same as 83w so if your pointed at 83w you should go green on that TP

Unfortunately we have had drizzle all day, so I cannot go out and give the point at 83 but scan 73 trick yet.

I did manage to figure out how to add a sat & its TPs manually with the remote.
The only question: Lyngsat lists the symbol rate as "4444" for TP 11735. The CS has 5 digits to enter, so should I enter
04444?
44440?
or 44444 ?

04444 and u'er welcome oh and don't worry about the(3/4) thats just if u'er using a DVB card in your PC
