Re: Two receivers, one SD one HD. Possible?

Thanks for the info guys, makes a lot more sense now.

So, I woke up, re-read what an LNB was (heh) then went to check. I'm not sure what type of LNB I have, but I guess I can explain my setup and maybe that will help.

I have two dishes, both pointing in different directions. Each dish has 1 LNB on it and has two wires coming out of the LNB/back of the dish. One wire from each LNB goes into a diseqc switch and the output of one of the diseqc switches goes to my current Viewsat extreme. The other two wires (1 from each LNB) are connected to a different diseqc switch but the output doesn't go anywhere (no cable attached) since i don't have another receiver.

Based on what I know, I should be able to send the output of the second diseqc switch to my new receiver and be able to receive all the same channels, is that correct?

Assuming all of that is good, I think my only consideration is whether or not to add another sattelite dish at the 129 orientation. Is there a place where I can see what channels to expect from each dish?

Thanks again.
