My unit does something vaguely similar, but I assumed it was just a quirk associated with the autoroll or key software or something. Sometimes I can channel-switch up and down and a previously unavailable channel pops in. Or switch to the other tuner. Tonight I just let it sit on a "dead" channel for maybe ten minutes and it popped in.

I have noticed also that many times the message "no signal" comes up on a channel on a transponder frequency that I know darned well is alive and kicking. Here I presumed that it was really trying to tell me that it could not decode (i.e. - "scrambled") but just got the status message wrong.

And (maybe this is related and maybe it's not) I have not been able to receive about half of the PBS channels for maybe a week or so. I'm pretty sure they were all there before. I kinda assumed (there I go again) that if the key worked for one DN group, it worked for all.

Life is a learning experience, but my head is hurting......
