Step by Step to setup your Genpix Rev 2, 8psk for DN HD
C/P
Ok, I got pretty frustrated during this setup, so maybe what I learned will help someone.
I have: Genpix Rev 2, 8psk module, CW-3000HD, DP LNBs pointed to 82, 110, 119.
Do NOT Install the Genpix yet!!!
1. Apply the most current update from the CW website. (1.0.1.6 as I write, earlier versions will not work)
2. Apply most current update from the f2atv site, instructions at the top of the CW-3000HD section)
3. Create your user profile, and set it to automatic fill for channels.
4. Connect your coax from your switch or lnb to the top connector on your DVB-S card (on a dual DVB set, this the outside card, on an ATSC/DVB mine was the inside card)
5. Setup your lnbs in Antenna settings, and scan all of your sats. Make sure you are able to get the channels.
6. Go to your profile, select Satellite TV and wait for the keys to roll. It may take a while. If you are watching both providers, make sure keys have rolled on both.
7. Once you have all channels working you are ready to add the DN HD channels. There are instructions in another thread for this, but you need to copy the information in the text files to the channels.conf and master.conf files in the /Captive/vdr folder. Save files after editing.
8. Shut the system down completely.
9. Now, open the box and remove the internal tuners. I don't know if you need to remove both, but I did and it works.
10. Plug the usb cable into the Genpix Rev 2 adapter, and into the CW-3000HD (any usb port should work).
11. Plug the 8psk module into the Genpix Rev 2.
12. Connect your coax from switch or lnb into the connector on the 8psk module.
13. Connect power supply to the Genpix Rev 2 adapter.
14. Turn CW back on.
15. Go to Admin/Profiles/Channels
16. Select your user profile.
17. You should see the channels that you added from the text file on the left side of the screen. Go to the "Add All" button and add these channels to your profile. Save, and exit back to your profile.
18. Go to Satellite TV, and enjoy!!!
Many thanks to those that helped me get this setup!!! This was written from memory, but I think I have it all down. I hope it helps someone to not get as frustrated as I did during this setup.
