New bin sha1 failed
Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to install bins that come in the .tar file and install file format? That is the reason that this bin isn't installing correctly right??? I have read the other posts relating to this topic and I can't figure out how to load it correctly. Thank you!!!

Re: New bin sha1 failed
When you d/l the zip or rar file from the link, does it show 2 files, 1 of them being a "install" file? If so, just unzip the tar file then move the install file into the tar file. Once the install file is in the tar file, the cw3000 should take the update without the sha error.

Re: New bin sha1 failed
So, are you saying that I have to open the install file, copy the code, and then paste it into the .tar file? Thanks for replying!

Re: New bin sha1 failed
When I d/l the file and opened, it gave me the compressed tar file and also an install fine. I had to open the compressed tar file then cut/paste the install file into it, then copy the file onto usb and it loaded perfect. Sometimes these tar files come with the install already in, and other times the install is outside the compressed tar. Whenever the install is outside the packed tar, I have had to place it in the tar and it will work. If not I get the sha1 failed error. Another option is the use the ethernet option and d/l the file from a ftp site, pm me and I can guide you if you like.

I tried that and it goes to 100% without giving me an error but it doesn't give me the normal message about unpacking and installing correctly. Also, when I check the system, it still says that the old file is loaded and not the new one. Are you pasting the install text at the beginning or end of the bin file? Do you put any spaces or returns in? Anything else that it could be?

Re: New bin sha1 failed
I just copy the install and pasted it anywhere in the tar rar. Try deleting the d/l and re-d/ling it then copy/paste install and see where that gets you.

I had the same problem yesterday. A fresh down load file worked fine. No modifications were neccessary. I used FTP of another forum though. (i don't know whether this is OK to say this)

Re: New bin sha1 failed
Could you provide a link to the place where you got the file so I can try?
You don't have to spell the exact name of the website.
Thanks
