3000hd remote control
Has anyone had a problem with their remote control not working??? Mine stopped working the other night. Now I can watch one channel only...only three buttons work...if we get blacked out again, I won't be able to reload the box...is there anything I can do? Do I have to buy a new remote?
Thanks!!!!

Re: 3000hd remote control
First, install new batteries, if that doesn't work, second, hit the STB button on remote and see if this changes the remote. Most remotes are universal and will work several different electronic pieces, if you accidently press the TV button on the remote, it will only control the TV, if you press the STB button, it only operates the STB. Hope this helps...

Try to do Power OFF-ON using rear switch.. And make sure your light in the Remote was in STB button.

There is no on/off switch in the back of the 3000 that I know of. and what is the STB button that you are talking about? is it the Sat button? nothing happens when I press that button. When the TV/Rad button is pressed the channel changes. The buttons that work are...history moves between user and admin on the profiles screen at startup, Erase selects, Menu makes everything go black...and nothing else works. I tried the batteries first and that didn't work. The light on the remote is working when I press all of the buttons. I have no other idea what could be wrong. Do I need to purchase a new remote???

Best fix for the 3k is shut it down, unpluge it from the rear, wait 5 min. It will be fine after that....If only part of it is not working, just a reboot fixes it. Wish I would of seen this post sooner I could of saved you agravation, sorry!

Like in the preceeding post - MOST MINOR GLITCHES are addressed by DISCONNECT from ALL POWER SOURCES - pause a while n then RECONNECT...u may also like to disconnect the coax cable infeed to the box n reconnect as u reconnect the power source...reboot n WTG..hopefully that will take care of this..
As u power back try turning/activating the reciever back ON from REMOTE..
As regards the RC lost or bad that need replacement explore the link to this post:::

wish u gud with ur project..hope that gives a perspective...

Re: 3000hd remote control
There is a reported remote/epg bug with the latest .14 releases. They are aware of it and it will be addressed in .15
The problem is that the epg, info, and other buttons just stop working. A way around this is to exit the profile and back completely out and do a restart. After this, the buttons work again.
