If you are aware of the Dish Network's stock holder's meeting in January last, you hold and know that the owners approved implementation of Nagra3 before the end of this year. It is public information. Why are you withholding your knowledge?
History...
The Nagra2 decryption came from Europe. It filtered down to the US through rom102 hacks. It then filtered down to fta implementation. Fta gave no credit to the Europeans or rom102 hackers. NORW Group, the number one fta hacker, took credit for the hack. It will not be so easy next round.
It took a year. Credit for the hack was misrepresented.
The approved Nagra3 implementation by Echostar is destined in a few months. The fta hardware suppliers are selling as many "newer" units as they can before their destined "slump". No, it's not over.
However, when Narga3 or 4 is placed in the stream, you, SatelliteJunkie, shall have lost your reputation, at your request. All units will be down for a considerable length of time. Logically speaking, you already have lost your wager, as it is inevitable. Read the Dish Network stockholder stuff. It's Echostar stuff. The very same thing happened with another fellow pertaining to DTV. He is still out in the dark.
You do have chrome, my friend. Don't wager your rep again; unless you are a compulsive gambler.
Notice:
All units will be down with the implementation of Nagra3 in the next few months. It might optimistically take the Europreans a year or so to hack the new encryption and system. We will have to wait for the rom decoders releases [fta groups don't do the actual nagra hacks], and fta mis-credit protocal has made that revelation unlikely; the rom sites are now private!
Don't spontaneously buy any fta receiver.....yet. Read the Dish Network annual meeting of stockholders. It is a done deal. Read it first "elsewhere"; you won't get it here. Right, SatelliteJunkie?
Watch out, guys. Don't even listen to the representations that seem .....real.
All Coolsat FTA units will be up, as designed, for true fta.
Watch out, my friends.
