1. Extract/unzip the fat 32 format.exe to the root of C:\ drive
2.click [start]-->[Run] and type in CMD.
3.Type C:
4.Type in CD\
5.Type fat 32 format.exe Fif your USB Exteral Harddrive is labelled as the F: drive otherwise use the letter that windows has given your USB external).
6.Click "Y" to confirm the format.

I must be mussing something cause it does not work:
My USB drive F:\ is USB which is formatting in NTFS now.
My feeling is that I must dissable that drive and try what you say.
And now I have my 250 GB hardive as fat 32 and I use VideoRedoPlus to make my TS file to MPEG and oh oh man just love it.
Now I need some new challenge
Ok here goes........ all was fine when I look at the MPEG on the PC.
But when I went and burn a movie with Nero , no way " voice out of sync.
Ok I said I will win.
Now what I use is VideRedoPlus and VideoRedoTVSuite....... ok it cost money, but just burn the DVD and all is fine from start to end. No out of sync in voice...... 2hrs movie on a 4.7 Gig disk and for me I must say it work and look just great as good as original .

With Windows Xp........... You have to be carefull.. dependending of what you have as far as virus checker......Norton.... ect......swisskine work well
make sure you do not mount the drive, abd by the way uf you make mistake you can always corect them..........Just go to start ...my cumputer ...manage........ and look at waht you have... If the USB drive is still NTFS , just unmount it , close and go back to swissknife " free ".
