Re: How To Populate Epg For Coolsat 7000 PVR

Hi

I have a coolsat 7000 PVR and I can not get the extended EPG to come up. In your instructions you say go to channel 239, but my fta goes to 1239 and will not generate an extended guide. Is there another way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

In a post on this site on how to populate an EPG it said to gp to channel 239 and press the epg button on remote anf the extended epg screen would come up and click on the blue button and it would populate. I tried this and it did not work.

I tried populating my EPG on some 4xx channel.
I was on a working channel and pressed the EPG button; than pressed the blue button (epg) and let it run for about five minutes... It worked!!!

Blah can't get an extended EPG on this either. Pressing the EPG/blue button on channel 239 does absolutely nothing...

try uploading the guide tunned on channell 217, that one seems to always work for me. I do have the new bin loaded and was able to populate the epg for nine days without a problem. hope it works for you.....

Tested Working Fix for EPG Problems on CS7000, Hooray !

I found this on another site, and take no credit, to whoever figured this out thanks
Follow these instructions to a "T" and it will work..(tested on my 7000)

C/P

This Fix's previous problems of 2 hour EPG on cs7000 & others

Scanning B3V TP 12224 is where the breakdown occurs.
Once this TP is scanned, it prevents DN EPG data beyond 2 hours.

This is how I've been working around this problem lately to get 3 days on each provider.
**Using a CS7000PVR, but I've been informed that this works for CS.6100/7000/7100/8000/8100 and the Visionsat line of products supported by NoRW.

1. Factory Default.
2. Enter your LNB/Switch settings.
3. Auto Scan 110 and 119 with Network Search 'ON'.
4. Delete TP 12224 from 91.0W B3V TP list.
5. Auto Scan 91.0W with Network Search 'OFF'.
6. Re-Add TP 12224 to 91.0W B3V TP list, and set Network Search 'ON' - DO NOT SCAN B3V TP 12224.
7. Ensure your setting for Auto CH/TP update is 'ON', eventually the channels from B3V TP 12224 will populate in your channel list without buggering the DN EPG functionality.

** I have seen some instances where this process does not add the Yellow B3V EPG button to the OSD, Auto Scan of 82.0W corrects this issue without buggering DN EPG functionality.

Then you use GrassHopper's (super mod) Instructions as follows

C/P (from grasshoppers original post)

How To Populate Epg For Coolsat 7000 PVR Go to channel 239 and hit the EPG button on your remote. You should see the Echo EPG item with the Blue circle next to it. Go ahead and hit the blue button on your remote and the Extended EPG popup should stay on the screen while the EPG is being populated. Warning, if it pops up and goes away right immediately… then you screwed something up. If it stays and populates out to 9 days, Congratulations!

Works like a charm.

Thanks a lot. Much credit to ABADSS forums and mod grasshopper for this fix.

Re: How To Populate Epg For Coolsat 7000 PVR

I think having B3V and DN at the same time messes it up. I'm going to try the "remove the 12224 TP" thing, rescan all my channels and stuff, see what happens. I get a full week of B3V on the EPG, but just 2 hours of charlie, so I know it has to have something to do with the pair of EPG's not getting along.

K, how do you delete a TP from a channel list before you scan it on the 7100??

Re: How To Populate Epg For Coolsat 7000 PVR

if its like my 7000 ,when you get to the auto scan part of the above steps you should see delete tp on the bottom of the menu screen (use the corrisponding color button), then just type in 12224 and delete
