v136 and Bev
Is anyone having freezing on Bev with bin 136? Not only does it freeze it says "NO SIGNAL". After a few minutes it comes back....While it says no signal I can go to dish settings in the menu and it will show no quality...when it comes back so does the quality. I have never seen this before, any ideas? I have done a reset 4 times and a hard reboot and still the same thing.

Re: v136 and Bev
Other boxes having same problem. Seems to be in the new bin file. Just wait and be patient. This will be rectified shortly, I am sure. At most, this is a small inconvenience for a return to full testing. Hope this helps.

Re: v136 and Bev
My first instinct is that this sounds like a cable, dish obstruction, or weather related.
Maybe you already have check these things, if not have a look outside. Sometimes its easy to forget the obvious. Good Luck.

Re: v136 and Bev
Let me give everyone the full rundown. Last night I moved my dish 500 to get a better signal. Everything is good on the signals now, 91 there. I installed a seperate (dish 300) dish to receive bird 91 (bev), I used a sat finder to tune it in. Once complete I did not turn off receiver and unhooked the sat finder and hooked to cable up to the lnb live (I saw light sparks twice when pulling cable through arm). Now the signal is still good at 91 on all three sats. Quality is 93, then for no reason the quality goes to zero and signal goes to 29 - 30 on all sats. I can turn off power lnb and the signal is still 29-30. Then turn it back on and just as it went it comes back in.....both sats are in the clear no obstructions. It will also go off and back on without making any changes as well. I was wondering if the receiver was hurt with the sparks and if so why does it reset and go in and out. Thanks for the info, hopes this helps.

Re: v136 and Bev
NEVER EVER unhook your cables without shutting off the power, you may have damaged the receiver.

Re: v136 and Bev
That is what I think I did. I have now hooked my sat finder into the back of my receiver (I turned it off first) it powers off the lnb power. When I switch my receiver on at first the finder lights up for about 20-30 seconds then it go off, and of course I again get no signal on TV. Question is, if the power comes on for a few seconds then goes out, is it tripping off or could it be like a bad LNB that I just hooked up?

Re: v136 and Bev
ok make sure that you are only going from the reciever to the sat finder to the lnb nothing else ..
fing th sat you are looking for then hook up the switch that you are using ..
now check the lnb and send exactly what kind it is what dish and the lenght of the cable .. if one cable is longer than another it can take over the signal .. or make you lose strenght .. but need more in for on you set up dish etc and settings ..

Re: v136 and Bev
I can not remove the switches as they are built into the lnb, I believe it is the twin pro? It has the two out for the 110 & 119 with an lnb out that I went to the 91 bird. It was when I hooked up the lnb out when I started having the no signal issue. This is also when I shorted the cable fishing it through the arm. I will try to disconnect it from the lnb out tomorrow as it is 10:30 at night here and I have to get up at 4:30 am.
