Continuous Scrambled Channel?

No matter which of the recent bins are installed (most recently 199), CS 7000 says "Scrambled Channel." Presuming these bins really are working, is there something else that is causing this problem? Until about a month ago, there was no problem merely installing a new bin (presumably writing over the previous non-working bin) and the new software worked correctly. Thanks much to testers for the help.

Re: Continuous Scrambled Channel?

What SAT(s) you trying to get ... ?

If you are aimed at BEV, you are going to want to forget that one for a bit.

Try a power reboot from rear & wait few minutes.
If no good...load the factory file then load bin 199 & do a reset & start over.
Check to be sure autoroll is ON.

Re: Continuous Scrambled Channel?

This is for DN, not bev. Did the hard reboot from the back of the CS 7000 and it shows Scrambled Channel. Per suggestion, will instead load the factory bin 114 via the USB, then reboot from the back switch, then load the latest bin 199, reboot from the back. Is that exactly what should be done or are there other steps? Thanks much.

No need to reboot between each step.
Just load the factory file...then load bin199...then do a reset...make settings...autoscan birds.
After you complete these steps & it still says "Scramble Channel"...then you do the power reboot from rear...off 10 seconds...ON & wait on channel 200.

Does anyone on the CS7000 thread actually use a CS7000???? Sorry, didn't mean to be a wisearse BUT the latest bin is 201. OKAY? Okay.<-(South Park impression) And this point is moot since we are in a downage. See FTA News and Announcements.

tafelice if you notice this thread was started 4 weeks ago when the bin was 199. As you know it is now 201. Hope this helps.

If your refering to my post, your out of line buddy!
I was talking about the Factory File version 114 (outdated) and version 116 (current)...which has nothing to do with a current working bin201. (which is down)

I don't see who else you are refering to, as the question posted by frenchfry was legit.

Re: Continuous Scrambled Channel?

Sorry if anybody took offense. That was not a shout, it was actually an impression of a South Park character. It was intended to be humorous and not rude and not even humorous at anybodys expense. I've PMed the effected parties as I don't think it right to fully explain this publicly.

It is odd that it is taking so long to fix.
But it is also just as odd that none of my SonicViews went down at all!
Be sure that we will post CS bins asap.
