hi i have a coolsat 7000 and is there a way where i could change the channel without changing the frequency????

Different channels operate on different transponder frequencies. So, there is no way to change the channel without changing the transponder frequency number...

but the thing is that i have to change the frequency manual by going to menu, installation,dish setting and then change the frequency

you should be able to hit the sat button on the remote and choose echostar package and that should let you be able to change channels easier

how do i go check to see it i have a echo star package ??

press the sat button on your remote
it should have a list of sats that you have programmed and scanned like
echo 6,8 110w
echo 7 119w
nimiq 1 91w
echostar package
bev package

yea i have echo star 110,echo star 119, and each star 148

in that list it should say echostar package also

there is noting that is titled echo star package
