Re: 118W Help!!
signal and quality issues
if you are having problems with signal or quality try these steps:
* do a hard reboot with the switch on back.
* make sure you have the right sat selected in your antenna settings.
* check your antenna settings to be sure they are correct.
* check all your connections including the switch to be sure they are tight and working.
* if your quality is low or 0 you may need to align your dish.
* make sure you have the latest bin file.
* try different lnb types to be sure you have the right one.
* before moving, changing, or disconnecting any cables turn your stb off with the
switch on back.

What type of LNB are you using for 118?
That sat requires a CB2008A LNB, set to Low Frequency 10750 and set as a "Standard" LNB
Are you using a Diseqc switch and if so, make sure your settings match your hardware configuration.

Re: 118W Help!!
Thanks for your suggestions. I borrowed an activated receiver which receives the 118 hindi channels. So, I am confident my dish is pointed in the correct direction. As far as I can tell, the 119/110/129 dish is connected in series with the 118 dish. One cable comes down to the house. I don't see any switches between the satellites and the tv.
I inputted 10750 frequency, but could not find a standard lnb - options for lnb type are single, universal, ocs-dp, legacy twin1 &twin2, legacy quad1 and 2. I chose single, did a channel search, which resulted in no channels.
I modified 118.8W AnikF3 settings screen to match the above settings. Is this right ?
Any other suggestions ?
I tried

118.8 requires a special LNB
If you don't have that LNB, you won't get 118.8
What type of LNB are you using for 118.8?

Re: 118W Help!!
I don't know the LNB. Are you saying that I need a different LNB for the coolsat vs. if I had a dish box ?
