Totally frustrated by EPG - ABA DSS

Arboristman spent a lot of time trying to help me to get the epg on my CS7000 to work properly, I would be interested in knowing if anyone else is having problems with it and if they have solved it how did they do so.
Can't get a full program guide nor can I get it to populate more than 1 hour.
I suspect it may be a bin problem that effects some boxes and not others but need more feedback.
Seems this was a problem back in 2007 as well, but I never found a post that had a solution.

I would check for factory file updates had a bunch of problems with a CS6100priv and a factory file finally fixed it and works fine now firmware is most of the time to address such problems Have a great Day

i had a similar issue with the VS Ultra a while back.
found that not only was it best to propagate on channel 200 (or any channel on that TP), but also to make sure your EPG settings match that same TP.

i went through this with my cs7000 about 3 bins ago and it was file related,i have not loaded this file so i can not say if i am having same issue this time.

Thanks fossil, but what do you mean about making sure the epg settings match the TP.
I don't think I have anything like that on my CS7000

i just hooked up my cs7000 and loaded and loaded bin ,i did a 3 day update and guide was there. have you tried factory default and load bin again?

63ranchero's setup consist of the following:

1 standard bev dish with 1 standard lnb pointed at echo7 (119w) only.
dish appears pointed correctly(as indicated in the antenna setup screen and ch 101 can be viewed) with correct antenna settings of:

Sat echo 119
Freq. 12501
LNB power on
LNB type single
LNB freq. 11250
22 khz off
Diseqc off
Legacy? off
Level 92
Quality 85
Network search on

and then a sat scan was preformed.

ch 239 WGN may be viewed.however said that when he visits this channel,the epg does not populate.
and upon pressing the epg update button,the unit simply flashes and cancels the action.

My CS6100 is doing the same thing friend...but I haven't tried to fix it yet.

Then do a factory database reset...then make settings & scan.
Then you can select channel 200 & see if it will load the EPG for 3 days. (push blue button 1 time for 3 days & 2 times for 9 days)

If it don't work after that...it might be a bin problem that we have no control over.

I previously tried basically all of the above, today I hooked back up to my dish pointed at bev 91, did a factory reset, reloaded all files, did auto detect, scanned channels, obviously bev was scrambled.
Then did all the same wth 2nd dish aimed at 119, factory reset, files, blah blah blah.
Dish came up with 101 and I hit the epg button, bingo! I gots guide.
I don't understand what was different this time than last several times, maybe because I started with old files and reloaded each in turn to get to the current 217?
Whatever, it's working now.
Maybe it just needed one more reset to kick it in the ***?
All you you guys were great with your patience and support and if it had not been for that I was about to give up.
You have a heck of a lot more patience with these things than I.

Yeah...we are all hit with another ECM and CoolSats are freezing again.
Look for a new bin in about 6-9 hrs.

for the EPG you must check the time some times you think you are in the right time but double check PM and AM.also double check your date and very important if you ponited to 119 park for a few minutes in channel 239
