Re: Fix for coolsat
Sorry about your frustration, i would recommend you get a sonicview, cause it does not look good for coolsat support, Sorry Buddy. but yeah it would be nice if they let you guys know whats going on.

I really dont think the coolsat will ever have any new files! With n3 just around the corner, what good would it do? I dont really think there is a chance that coolsat will ever have a chance with N3. The only chance that it would have is if someone would buy them out.

Re: Fix for coolsat
Sounds to me like the best thing to do may be to do nothing until all of this sorts out, so many rumors, long waits for files, the people that make the files can't realy be expected to generate a new file every day.
It may be a waste of money to invest in a new box if it is just going to quit in a couple months.
Even Nfusion may be in doubt.
I think I'll wait this out.

If you're waiting for a CS cure, you may as well wait for a Cancer cure, neither is coming soon.

Re: Fix for coolsat
It is easy to Decode any Program If you know how programming languages and Satellite system work. But only thing that is required is tools to decode it. Tools are highly expensive and cannot easily be obtain. Just a Hint: to a guy who is interested in decoding the satellite signal, I believe he needs, Spectrum Analyzer ( A good quality Spectrum Analyzer Cost from 10000 U.S dollar and above), And a Compiler for Modification. If you find both , you will become a Millionaire... HIP HIP HURRAY

It is dead for now.
The receiver (hardware) is great.
The problem is poor software support.
But it is one of the best for true FTA scanning.
With problems in management & support right now, I would not wait any longer for a fix...get another unit, and come back to CS later. (if they ever get back up)
I picked up some CNX Nano's cheap to finish out with Nag2.
I wouldn't spend too much right now on a SV360 because they may be doorstops soon as well...

Re: Fix for coolsat
hey Satellitejunkie, what's the least expensive unit to ride n2 out. I'm tempted by the sv elite, but I feel the same as you about another doorstop.

I think the CNX Nano (replaces the Mini) is the cheapest. (I paid $95. ea) seen on ebay for like $120...but the SV360's are going for around $160.
For sure, stay away from expensive HD units until after a Nag3 solution.
The reason I think SV's might not survive Nag3 is, SV is working on 2 new units now. (why bother unless you see trouble ahead for old technology)
