Still no luck guys. I can't get the captain loader to load anything. Even the Neusat loader doesn't work. But the port connection does initialize successfully. I dont what else to try.

I'm in the same boat as magaman, I get either wrong model number or unknown file type on usb, what are we doing wrong?????

sorry guys,your kinda all alone here as none of the mods here have either one of these.pretty much left on your own to help eachother.thats about all the instructions iv seen around.sorry can't help ya with further details without having the units.
all i can say is,when you get it figured out,pass on what worked for the other guy.

You need to load the files that are required via the USB port. To the best of my knowledge the USB port is the ONLY way to load the two required files. I converted my 9000HD that way with only minor issues. The patch 10 file went smoothly. The latest Captain HD was a bit harder to load but it finally did. I don't believe the loader route via the serial port will work. Go the USB route.

how did you get the captain loader to load did you just keep trying?

im sorry i meant the captain file via usb. Did you just keep trying?
Anyway I am at the end of hope. I'll try anything now. WHat do you think would happen of we loaded the captain 8k factory bin?

I don't mean to sound negative but I loaded the bin 10 forced it, went ok, then I tried the Captain bin and it says it is an unknown file. Then I took the stb to the pc and tried loading with the Captain loader. Tried version 1.24, 1.25. 1.26, and none of the versions would work. Kept telling me it was the wrong model. There is no way to change the model on the loader so that was it. I tried each loader about 10 times.
Then I flashed it with the neusathd fact. bin with the neusat loader and it took the flash, then loaded the patch 15 and loaded without any problem. Then I tried loading the new 41 neusat9k file and it tells me again it is the wrong model for that bin. All this leads me to think that this neusat bin is just a Captain bin that someone's has played with or renamed and has posted this file. Now I would think that this file should have been submitted to the mods and after the Mods have checked it out and verified that it works and is not a box killer that's when it should have been posted. But from what I can gather none of the Mods here have tested it prior to posting. Now I understand that the Mods here have many other fires to put out and I am the first to say that they do an excellent job. But in this case I think it is a lame attempt on the part of the dealers to keep the Neusat 9000k thing going so they can continue to SCAM more unsuspecting customers. BEWARE DO NOT BUY ANY NEUSAT BOXES OR ANY OTHER ITEMS FROM ANYONE SELLING NEUSATS. IF THEY ARE WILLING SELL POS BOXES WITH NO SUPPORT, THAT DOES NOT SPEAK TOO HIGHLY OF THEIR BUSINESS ETHICS OR MORALS, DOES IT? My two cents.

Guys I have had no luck with the conversion files.
I downloaded the Neusat9000hd-42108 bin file using the Neusat loader and all works great.
Could not download with USB port.

Give it a try
I an watching dn all channel except HD.

rename file Neusat9000hd-42108 bin to neuhd_patch16.bin load it using usb and enjoy watching tv again

I wish you were a woman cause I feel like kissing you dude! It worked!!!! But my menu and stuff looks funny like a dark blue. Did I actually convert to a captain?? or iis it just the new file program? And is there still no HD and PPV?

does any mod or user have access to www.dtv100.com? Apperantly it is where this new bin originated from? (my model number in my system info says dtv100.com) they seem to have some insight on this box and also a new factory bin??? Can anyone she'd some LIGHT??
