Captain user updates

To all Captain users we would like for you to rest assured that we are working on a fix for the current ecms
we will release as soon as it is ready
We belive also that we have a solution for the usb problems and will be fixed in the upcomming release so users should be able to use there usb's again
we thank you for your support and understanding

Soon means when it comes it will be here. That could possibly be the 12th of never. Never put a time frame on things.

It means it will be released when it is done. If it is a day or a week, you don't know. Hopefully it is not the latter.

Hey, Team Captain, what gives here. I thought you were among the best. Are you saying Charlie is smarter than you? It's been 4-days now & no improvements on the Captain 7000 Premium files! I guess I wasted my money on this site!! If it doesn' t get better, I won't waste anymore.

guys...files are here..CW, Viewsat Ariza are all up and running so please give us Captain users something soon.........I have 7000 used all old files but not even local channels coming total blackout....Need to hear from you guys SOOOOOOOOOOOOOON

usb issue in not a big issue as long as we can load through the serial port. what's importanted is the bin file. Is there a way of decoding and or reading the bin file..

yeah still no files yet.
no,you can't do it yourself.
you would need info that is not public if it where you wouldn't want anything to do with it trust me lol.(source code)
unless you wanted the fbi and who knows who else crashing down your door hehehe
plus you would have to be advanced in coding.
a regular guy/gal like you and i cant even understand the codes let alone do anything with it.

I'm still hangin' in there myself.....but g-friend gettin' upset.....not good. Lucky I have a back up paid one, like everyone else should, right????? Would still like to see movies. Thanks in advance for the ones that finally get a reliable file.

yeah,captains are a bit slower thats for sure.great units.but of course with slower support many will chose other units.
i still say tho for tha captain 8000hd at this point for the price.(like just over 200 bucks)and 6 year warranty for bev/true fta only hd its hard to beat.
heck for just over 200 bucks they are worth just having for true hd with no support 3rd party quite honestly.
but of course most people don't want those great big BUD (big ugly dish) 6 feet or most common 10' 12' footers for C band here there is lots of true HD fta.
lots not found on lyngsat.many of them are the "wild feeds" you need to blind scan for.
anyone interested in getting big dishes could have lots of fun getting many channels with these things.of course most are not interested sadly in that stuff.
but anyway.hang in there.and of course at some point,all coding teams will have whatever method of full emu that comes along.
tho its going to start all over when bev swaps out all their cards.but that will take a little while.

hey don't forget there are some cool fta birds up there.g10-r is about the most popular one.if you guys had a BUD with your captains you could even get Outdoor Channel 2HD all the time! its all in the clear.no ecm hits.
but for regular stuff with just a 30" larger like 33" at least or slightly larger depending on where you live with a linear lnb you could have about 16 English channels all the time.no ecm hits! a great cheaper backup plan.

its not for everyone.but heck its great to have.i like it.im pointed there.
during the day its pretty lame,mostly paid ads and stuff.but at nite some cool stuff.
and movies during weekends even.pretty cool.
hey they never get hit! true fta is good to have.
and especially if you can score an old primestar dish/lnb for free! or have one laying around or a starchoice dish and its lnb will work too.

here we go.there are quite a bit of these ones.RTN retro tv network.for those that like the older shows,you know like Seinfeld,Hawaii Five-O,Mission Impossible,Hunter, Cheaters is on it too.magnum pi and the a-team.that sort of stuff.
hey its not premiums or anything,but it never goes down.

also you don't get any epg.thats the major downside of FTA.but you can get online guides like titantv.com for allot of it.but you get pretty used to whats on it after awhile and the starting times.

i have had enough with my captain 8000 ,going to dump this reciever as soon as posible ,tired of one excuse after another ,i agree with you arboristman it is a nice reciever for the price ,but even if it was free in my opinion it is worthless without support ,however i will be keeping my viewsat and nfusion ,and i can rent an hd reciever from bev for 10 bucks a month so i can watch nascar in hd...
