ah man.we have to help out captain a bit here.
first.we need to look close at what they are willing to do for us.
quality of product.100% Korean made,with 6 year warranty.
at same time,they are trying to give low cost.like the cw/cnx China made products,only good for 1 year(at best)
then we need to look at features.ok lets face it,cw is a hard act to follow with features it seems(oddly) for well over a year now.BUT captain does come very close.
AND they have the OBS-one button setup.
so easy a cave man can do it.
then look at what they give us for an HD option.200 bucks! for bev HD! dang,that doesn't take long to pay for itself.
thats a pretty "giving" CO./and or support group from where im standing.
i have and always will give captain the big 2 thumbs up.
just a great "giving" group.and so far havn't asked for anything more than what you payed,imho.
im an all go,go ,go for captain,green light.

I know abor. Captain offers quality products at an affordable price. I guess I just don't like the whole "announcements with no real substance" deal (thanks to TDG and co.) It's best if the teams just release when they're done and not make any sort of announcement, at least none that has no real ETA. I'm sure we're all sick of the "coming soon" updates

like cw for example.they never say anything.they came out of the gate swinging.

captain an import of neusat(yeah thats hard info to dig up lol but true-example is like what BUZZ is to SONICVIEW)
difference here is captain is going out of their way.
but its hard being the new kid on the block.willing to just "pick up some crumbs for now"
i think they have established themselfs enough,let them boys make some cabbage.
they give MORE than what you pay.

hello,
my unit doesn't seem to work....just once in a while for a few seconds... and then it cuts out.... is this because of an ECM or am i having a problem with my unit only...

Arbor I need to agree....
I was getting frustrated with TC in the recent past..... I am new to the hobby and only had one stb @ the time when captain was the last with fixes..... Then a new fix never came for three weeks or so..... Whoa, I started freakin' out.... During that time TC never made a comment and people lost their minds..... So even a recycled comment with no real substance is still appreciated.
However, during this time I came to a realization to what TC does do for us, and that the team owes me nothing and be grateful people take the time they do..
I appreciate the team for their time and effort and Captain for selling me a box @ a price that any provider in my area wont come close to. I love my HD BOX... THANKS CAPTAIN

well spoken lonster. we all have to keep in mind this is a hobby and testing is what we do. dont expect to be up all the time and if you was it wouldnt be any fun now would it. lol
