Captain User Update March 14th 2008
Hi we would like to let everyone know that we are working on the micro freeze solution and should have some more stable bin soon
for now if you are experiencing lots of freezing you can do the following which will help

1 do a factory default
2 delete all keys
3 set up sats and scan for your channels again
4 do not load the epg guide as this seems to make the receiver reboot more often


We would also like to point out that many may have noticed that many receivers are going down or have gone down. We have seen some receivers have posted since our last bin 2 or 3 files because they were down While Captain remained up and running...

We thank you all for your support and will have good news soon with updated bins and more stability

TC has come up with a "freeze fix" that is currently being tested before release. Expect the freezing problems to be a thing of the past very shortly.

No big deal really. We don't expect perfection from this hobby Maybe a new ECM will fix the freezing by itself heh.

yeah,seems pretty much the 8k has the prob.
the 7100 is pretty steady.tho after awhile you can notice the scrambled chan nags from time to time.
