Galaxy 10 (97w) Help
I have a 36" digiwave dish and I bought a LNB for that.
My question is:The elevation will be the same as a 18" dish or different.
Is it hard to find?
I think it should be close to 91w right????
LNB information:Standard KU LNBF........DG780.
Do you think it's going to work with that LNB?
Thank's for any input.

Re: Galaxy 10 (97w) Help
are you after galaxy 10 123w or galaxy 25 97w (globcast)?
but yeah.that setup is good.
set your skew first.very important for linear.
set lnb type to 10750
then set the elevation.
last,pan left/right (azimuth)
just check with lyngsat.com and set her on an active tp and shouldn't have much trouble.

I have a 18" dish pointed at 61.5w,so if I use the same elevation on that 36" dish and play with the Azimuth,do you think it's gonna work.
I have a $10 Sat finder,I will use it to help me if I get hard time.
Thank's

Re: Galaxy 10 (97w) Help
Your aiming elevation will be dependent on your location and dish type (center or off-set LNB). At my location on the West coast, it was one of the easiest sats to locate with my 36 inch off-set dish. I'm not familiar with Digiwave products, but the LNB needs to be linear polarity with low noise. Make sure your cable is low-loss enough for your cable run length, so you don't lose channels from the higher frequency transponders. Go to DishPointer.com - Satellite Dish Pointer / Alignment Calculator with Google Maps for excellent aiming info.

use this buddy:

if the dish doesn't skew, thats ok.then you will just skew the lnb.if that still doesn't skew for some reason, you would have to mount it skewed.
first tho see what that program tells you for skew.
