well been a long time since i posted about the dongle problem orange light
I received my 3rd dongle today and this time working like a charm

Yes, so lucky that 2 of the dongle was indeed defective lolll
That was a long wait, my first was ordered on 12 april! still worth the wait!

wow you had a log wait lol.
well,it may have been they needed to do something to it in order for your isp to let it through.if so,you at least may have saved some others some time.so good testing lol.
maybe they where just bad,who knows.
well anyway now your HD & weather approved.

so hows she doing? pretty smooth?

pretty good, experiencing quite few micro freeze, and few scramble channel for 5 to 10 seconds here and there, ive done a factory reset after the 3.14, but cant complain! cant wait to see some games on that also

of course you can always swap over to files also.
hey i was reading the 8k doesn't reboot hardly running iks vrs the file.so theres a plus for ya.
HD/IKS,your spoiled now.

Glad to see you got it going grudge , I think you will be well pleased.Keep us posted on what you like and dislike about it. I am so far very happy with the 7100 / dongle setup.

Yeah really happy cannot ask better and also for update on the support of the dongle, sales and tech was really nice, at the start they were kind of cranky thinking it was my side that was wrong, but after told them that i try , 2 router, 2 cat cable, 2 isp, 2 box, 2 dongle,2 serial, 2 router lolll, they send me the other one!, they refund me the shipping without problem,

You can trust them and i really appreciate that they gave a try on a 3rd dongle!! i would not trade that box for nothing!

Again Arbor im totally please with what you advise me to buy!

thats great buddy.yeah at the price of those captains,and the 8k being so reasonable in price for an mpeg2hd only unit,well even with a few small glitches,its clear to see an easy winner here.the captains as we know,but making sure those who haven't tried one yet have just an outstanding pic quality.of course mpeg2hd wont be around forever on bev,just so people know this.and they have some rebooting issues hopefully they can fix up.
but man,what nice high quality stbs.very glad she's working out for ya.
thats sounds like some good customer support! that goes along ways today! glad you shared your experience.people really need to know that captains really are a good contender in this hobby.support is looking great.

glad to see that you are up and running grudge ,wow two bad ones it a row hard to believe ,but it does happen ,got my dongle hooked up last week to my captain 8000 ,work,s great with a few micro freezes, nothing worth complaining about...

Same here as above only very minor micro freezes 1/2 second to 3 second tops.Very good setup and lots of channels so far very happy.
