Captain 8000hd Dongle need help please

iam new here and need for some help please
I am from Denmark and sorry my English
I get my new FTA reciever tow day ago from Canada it is Captain 8000 HD with Dongle..
when iam setup my reciever i cannot see the Hotbird or any other european sattellite in the menu only american i thing on the list and i use manually setting by entering frequnsy for that channals i want to watch.
the other thing there is some arabic channals ART abraisque is scrambled channals how can i use my dongle to recive them couse one of my friends he have the dongle and IMAX reciever and he can view scrambled arabic channals and much more.my dongle is green all time but channels scrambled or no service
i tryed to much files but not workin
the last file i downloaded is Captain8000HD_Dongle_V314_20080518

any help please

I'm not to sure that the receiver you have will work for you with that sat.

Actually I don't. I've looked a little bit for one but never found one. Maybe someone else might know.

one of my friends he have an receiver from IMAX SF-4 with the same dongle like main and is working properly

iv not read of captain stbs nor dongles being used over there either.

I don't think captain codes for those sats, they might but I have doubts. Dongles are originally designed for getting weather and games I believe, so it's possible the dongles are the exactly same.

so you want to say the receiver is important for codes not the DONGLE.

A bit of both actually. The receiver has to know how to process the info, sort of like Mac and PC's they both work using the same principals but aren't exactly interchangeable.

ok..so if i buy the same receive r as my friends maybe do not work too because the receiver and dongle do not coded together
