captain 8000 freezing - ABA DSS

is this a freezing that requires a new bin file... or am i having a problem with my captain 8000

It seems that some are reporting that v677 working with very brief freezing for the 8000.

For the 7100 captain 7100 V762 file. seems to be working no freezing

V685 intervals freezing as well.

factory default.
follow wizard-do the one button setup.
should be rocking with a slight 2-3 sec freeze every hr or two.

if not,try the same thing with 667

if at any time your freezes get worse,flip rear switch off/on and good to go again for many hours on end.

678 does not work at all... 667 does the same as 685 .... it hangs for minutes at a time every 5 or 6 minute intervals..... any other files.....

what do you mean follow wizard one step... i am loading via serial port....and version 1.26 captain loader

oh i see.ok stick with 667 then.sorry.

once you load 667.do a factory default in the menu.

when it reboots,you should see a wizard that guides you through setup.follow it,then at the end of the wizard it will ask you if you want to do the OBS (one button setup)
see with captains,you don'[t have to do anything but a few basic's in the wizard,and they will set themselfs up and scan all your channels all at once.that's the OBS feature.

this factory default and new setup should help get rid of any problems.reason i suggest doing this,is because 667 is reported as running very stable.with only very,very slight freezes once in awhile.

well did all that..... found all the channels again.... but the freezing is still happening and every 5 to 7 minutes ...... is any body out there having the same problem....

I'm haveing the Exact same problem with My Captain 8000 except i can only keep a channel comeing in for about 2-3 mins and then the screen go's to " Scrambled or No Service " This is on DN I've tryed like ten bins back from the latest version " 692 "
So i guess if You guys did figure this one out I'D LOVE TO KNOW HOW even after trying " 677 " it still cutts out the problem is the same reguardless of the bin file version as well as doing a factory reboot ** ALL STEPS DESCRIBED ** have been done with usb and a " null serial modem cable "
I've gone over My whole system top to bottom and CAN'T find anything wrong.
So any help would be MUCH appreaciated

Having same problem if I'm lucky can receive for 1-2 minutes then back to scrambled. Have tried all the old files same results...some say there getting good results using 684 or 685...tried both 1-2 minutes..

the current status of captain brand stbs is unknown at this time.sorry guys.
