Re latest fix for Captain 7000P - ABA DSS

Can someone explain the following in simple terms.

*Please load the factory file first via serial cable then upgrade to latest file

Does this mean I have to find another file before i can load the latest fix?

At the moment no file that you upload its going to help, so just wait until the new fix is released. No sense on messing around with files that are not going to work.

They're right about the new fix, but you still have a valid question. Sometimes you need to load the factory bin before the latest bin. Look in the file section for 7000 and you should find a "factory file" or "factory bin".

If it's not there, private message me and I'll help you out. You don't need it today, but will likely need it sometime in the future.

You are correct. New fix has been uploaded last night. But this thread was from 17 hours ago, before fix was released.

I don't know about the time thing as I took that statement from the page that has the fix on it.

I can't find anything in the 7000 help section, is there a seperate file section?

the iks file is up for it currently.but thats only for use with the adapter and internet connection.

Hi guess the captian owers are in the dark again till we put out more money and get a dongle box as that is the only fix out there for the 7000 or maybe we should just get away from the captian all together ????????????

Drycell - being an *** never helps. You don't like Captain or fta in general...move on.
