Keep losing Channel "Quality"
I'm running a 7000. I keep having the same problem regardless of file. Programming will only stay up for a short period of time. When it goes down, and I view the info, the channels always seam to lose their "quality". The signal stays fine.
An Auto scan does nothing. Sometimes, by running a Blind scan, then an Auto scan, I'm able to get programming again. Unfortunately, it's always temporary.
I'm pointed at Nimiq 91.0w, B3V, no switch.
Sugguestions?

Don't think a cnx mini and a captain are similar, unless you live beside almostfamous and the weather shifted both dishes. But not likely . Should start a new thread. With "cnx..." in your title. Thx
Hope I'm not out of line Arb..

Re: Keep losing Channel "Quality"
It's definitely not in the LNB, switch, or cables. I've tested the receiver in two different houses, with the only component being used at both homes being the Captain receiver.
Someone suggested a bad tuner....but I have no idea what to do about that. I'm thinking that's a warranty issue.

How can it be a bad tuner if it works at 2 other homes??
Remember don't Blind Scan do Auto Scan.
Noticed something you should upgrade to VIP get ur files here, that May be your problem, don't know but I'd reload file see if that does it.
Follow these instructions
http://www.abadss.com/forum/489-capt...hing-info.html
or this http://www.abadss.com/forum/490-capt...etup-pics.html
Follow the instructions to the letter. Good luck.

Re: Keep losing Channel "Quality"
I've run the receiver at two different homes and get the same undesired results at both.
I load the same file on 3 different 7000 receivers every time there is a new file, and only get this result on the one receiver. It's not this particular file. It happens with every file.

Re: Keep losing Channel "Quality"
Sorry - and as for the scan. I always auto scan. But sometimes when this problem occurs, I try different things because the auto scan won't pick up any channels. Sometimes, by doing a blind scan, then an auto scan, it will pick up channels again. Don't know why.

Re: Keep losing Channel "Quality"
Have you tried loading the keys manually http://www.abadss.com/forum/489-capt...y-captain.html
Is there such a thing as a Captain Clone??? I think Arb would have a better answer he's testing Captain 7000

Re: Keep losing Channel "Quality"
I will check the keys....worth a try. Seems unlikely though, as I've stated, the problem is with every bin file, not just the latest.
As for the clone? No idea. I purchased multiple 7000 models at the same time, from the same store.
