faulty mem or firm/hardware
hi first time here..very fam with sat rcvrs,but this 1 leaves me stumped. its as if it has low bin mem problems.freezes on 4 min off 1. i use serial port now ,usb died after 1st dwnload. work in electronics.it seems like this capt8000hd is caput.v654 last used.spent hrs reading help.echostar keeps showing on auto roll,even with ant disc??,with any old or latest bin files. why!!-rx is setup correctly,ps also clock is dif.to set up.after reboot from pwr(sw) off hours later takes several factory resets to finally work,looses 24++ hrs.

there are reports of freezing on some stb's, maybe that is your problem, check your settings and connections to be sure all is good. if you have tv try a hard reboot with the switch on back if you have one.

First of all, welcome to ABA! So glad to see you have already upgraded your membership....that's such a big help to be able to download files from the site.
Not sure what is going on, but I started having problems also w/freezing and different weird things happening...then it works fine for awhile. I can put it on one particular channel and it clears the EPG and remains black??? I'm testing a SV, but I've been reading about all the stbs having some kind of a fluke here and there. Good luck, let us know what happens. What kind memory stick are you using? Have you used it before with your stb? I know it's a pain, but maybe start all over from the beginning (download, reset sat, etc) and see if that helps. Sometimes it is just one little thing that wasn't tweaked that makes all the difference.

---tnx for feedback--use 350 meg stick.--I tie all related sites to 1 tp,sel search in that tp, install chan's from that tp.its not a viewing prob.,just cant stay locked up.set up friends rx mo. ago his viewsonic rx is fine1-2 sec pauses time to time

hey bud, i believe your issue is related to the file you were using at the time you made the post. since then there has been a new file, have you checked it out? are you still having the same results?
