Active key explained - ABA DSS

In general, the active key is the key string in the signal stream that the provider is using that allows the conditional access for decryption of the channels. In past history, the providers have streamed an inactive and active set of keys in the stream data to make it easier for them to change the key codes. When N2 came along, we seen an additional capability of the provider to run two different sets of active keys at the same time targeted towards specific channels. Generally the active key is the key which opens the majority of channels at one time now. Current keys have slowed on this type EMM but it will still show up once in a while. This why sometimes you will see some key grabbers report conflicting active key status. Some grabbers dont even bother to try to determine or report the active key but instead report the keys that are in the stream. Then we can consider Bev who have develped a different key stream entirely for its NFL Package channels.

They want you to sub! why do you think they are doing this, they are trying to discourge you to quit using the fta. Hey man enjoy what you got. You are not entitled to Free TV. Like anyone else this is a privilage to be able to watch Dish Network. Im not really concerned about this, I just like to test and make things work when we are down. I would say we are getting ready for a BIG hit, but I also believe that the coders will be able to get us going again. I think they are having a hard time trying to stop fta, that why you are seeing more attempts at arrests etc. Just My personell opnion.

Hi every one I need help with this I have an eagle star receiver can anyone tell me how do I get that program were the receiver downloads the keys by itself when it goes down I usually type it manually but I rather have the receiver getting it itself sorry guys this is all new to me please help me.

not in Mexico ziza-mia here you pay 40 dlls for basic cable, and when I mean basic it's really just the 2 main national broadcasting stations plus several local channels by them also and regular local station from the nearest US town. No HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, but the good old mexican movies channel :-|

I have the latest keys for DN.

I manually input them into my Ariza Extreme, I'm using 11134F.bin currently.

I double check the keys are correct using various utilities and double check I've entered them correctly manually. Save, but...

Standby...Download! pops up now always. I know it's a key issue.

I know when I have the most current keys inputted everything is wide open and it works great.

Lately, though I input the keys and... Standby...Download!

Do I need to load the latest bin? And if so can someone point me to where I can download it?

the bins already have the a/r so you dont have to put the keys in

Thanks, but I'm not getting any picture.

I was able to dl 11150F.bin so I'm going to download it to the receiver.

For awhile there the keys seemed to be autorolling, but sometimes I had to input the latest.

I'll see how the new bin works. I hope the EPG fills in :|
