Nfusion phoenix setup
I'm having trouble getting my IP into the receiver. Am I to understand that I place my IP into
my computer locator, hit [enter] and it will go to the receiver. I'm using the serial cable which came with it. I've tried this many times and nothing happens. My Network Info page is set for DHCP.
I have excellent internet signal strength on my computer. I have the receiver hooked to satellite cable. Is there anything else I should be doing? THANKS FOR ALL, AND ANY HELP

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
your reyou need to have 153.1 on desktop unzipped and ready, write down ip address it should look something like this 192.168.001.002 ,now go to internet page(explorer) and at the very top it says http:// erase this and enter your ip ,now a little box should pop up and you enter user name -admin-then password -0000 -hit enter then you should see webloader -click on browse and then find file ,click on file -hit upload.now look at the display on reciever and it should start counting.it will get to 12-14 reboot and file is loaded ,this is when you can set up and scan.your nf needs to be hooked up to tv and internet.

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
When you say enter ips. Are you referring to the ips of my computer? And, if so where can I find that? Once I find it and enter it into the locator should I hit [enter] or [search] in
order to see the box appear. Will it appear on the computer, or the Network Info page?
Thanks

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
the ip you enter is from the nfusion itself.menu -internet -network is where you find it.

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
The ip showing on the screen from the NF is 000.000.000.000. The Subnet Mask & gateway both read 000.000.000.000. The PVR reads 255.255.255.255. So what do I do
now?

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
you need to reboot your system ,shut down your nfusion from the rocker switch at the back.shut down your router and modem.let it sit and then turn modem on let it totally reboot for a minute ,turn router on let it reboot for a minute ,now turn nfusion on and you should have ip now.

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
Did everything suggested, but still the same situation. I'm on a home network...could that be the problem. If so, how can I rectify it? Thanks

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
BTW nfusion is not wireless equipped, you must add a wireless device or use ethernet cable to internet device, router, switch whatever you have for internet

Re: Nfusion phoenix setup
No...it's plugged into my computer which is a part of my in-home network. Do I have to get
another router, or modem just for the NF setup? What does it mean when it says 'service no available'?
Deos this mean it's not receiving the satellite signal?

Do I need to get another router, or modem just for the NF setup. How does the Ethernet
come into play? Can I use it with my computer? Does "service not available" shown on the Network Info
page mean it's not receiving the satellite signal?
