New Nfusion HD Installation
Happy Halloween everyone, I just connected my new Nfusion HD I have strong signals for satellites 75% and 80%. I uploaded the unziped file vi.3sr25 through USB front port with front port file set up at the end of loading I hit ok as instructed and the instructions did not request for language did I miss something, can only get NASA station and advertisments for Hughes Dish and the rest are paid programs. Where do I go from hear?

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
have you went into ur network settings and log on and get an IP address ? just go into ur menu,,under system settings,, look for network,,highlight it,,push ok,, will take a several seconds,,but it should open with an ip address already,, if it dont,, u may want to reboot ur router and ur nfusion and try again,,

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
Open the network setings and the first line under DHCP/Static show IP address as 000 000 000
Next to PVR IP address there is a number 255 255 255
It's the first line I am concerned about, I am not hooked up to the internet yet just using the flash drive to get started. Perhaps I can not update unless hooked up to the internet and if that's the case could I use my laptop with cable to the receiver, laptop is wireless to my Linskey router.

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
u need to run an ethernet cable fromyour router to ur nfusion,, it needs the internet to open channels,, till you do that ,,u wont get any TV ,,, u can buy a wireless bridge,,if running ethernet cable is unfeasible,, and yes you can set up your laptop to share the internet and run it that way,,better off buying a set of powerline adapters tho

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
Are you hardwiring the nFusion to the router? or are you running an access point as well ?

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
Yes I am hardwired and the receiver has acknowledged and is showing the IP address now where it was not before.

Wireless nFusion Set Up [Block Diagram]
Here is a simple 'Block Diagram' outlining the components needed in a 'typical' wireless nfusion setup, Please Note: This does not cover every possible method, but should provide you with an idea as to how to proceed:

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
Ok, if you have an IP address on the nFusion unit, you'll then want to utilize the on-screen menus and the remote, to set up and then scan your SAT's. Since you are using FTA, set the autoroll settings to OFF, for ALL SAT's as this will not be needed.

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
Could not find auto roll to turn off, it found the satillites but when returned to guide could not open any they indicated service not available in the right hand corner or dollar sign still with no signal. Geting to be a little confused and tired at this point, I know it is someting simple.

Re: New Nfusion HD Installation
Put it on channel 200 or 614 and let it get up to speed ... might take 20 mins or so, make sure Autoroll is set to OFF.
Resist the urge to change channels during this period.
