Actually tommyflight, that's really not a stupid question, but INDEED I HAVE YOUR ANSWER.
IKS HAS been affected by the N3 switch over, HOWEVER there are reports/rumours of NFusion having a "work around" already for channels affected by the N3 switch. No one is certain whether or not NFusion is putting these reports/rumours to sell more units, but there have been a few that stated their's are working perfect now after a few days of N3 scrambles.
That's all the info available about that part of the topic at this time, unfortunately, you'll have to take it for what it is. If you have an IKS unit, and have channels affected, then you know the truth about the "work around" rumour/report. aside from that, the only other advice I would offer at this time if your planning to buy one to get through this, just hold off for the time being, no one wants to waste a couple hundred, for any reason.
