SUB! Dang it!
DTV is being installed at my house right now! My question is, can I take one of these boxes and hook it up at my brothers house to his slimline dish on his roof? Will this work?

Re: SUB! Dang it!
If you have two sub units you can hook one of them at a different location and pick up what you pay for, just don't hook to the phone line. You'll pay alittle more for no phone.

Re: SUB! Dang it!
so when the installer hooks it up to my house today. It will be programmed there. All I need to do is unplug it and move it to my brothers across town?

Re: SUB! Dang it!
I have a sub at my camp, I have the same one at my house, my daughters house and a buddy's house and his camp, all from the one at my camp. And these others are hundreds of miles apart. They have no idea what I am doing. And I get $5.00 a month from each person using my signals and it pays for my sub.

Re: SUB! Dang it!
One word of advise. I bought individual receivers with cards and told sub that each unit went in a certain room in my house, the units are cheap, like $39. If one of you has a problem, you need to be the one to call for help, especially if you have more than one receiver. They will ask you questions like.. what is the other receiver doing, or move your other receiver to this location. Be careful. Good excuses are.. the baby is asleep in that room, or I have them in my wife's car cause we are afraid someone will break in and steal them, and she is not here right now.
