New Directv Slim Line DIsh 3LNb Vs 5LNB - ABA DSS

I had a few questions regarding these new dishes.

One Major advantage I read was that if you had a Dual feed capable receiver, you just need one cable and it can provide both feeds, that would be perfect for the HD PVR, the HD-23 I want to get.

I know the 3 LNB one is for Signals 101,110,119 and the 5 LNB one is for 99,101,103,110,119.

Does anyone know what extra channels are on the 99,103? any HD content on them? I want to know if it is worth it before I upgrade to it.

When did these new dishes come out? I have an older triple LNB directv dish on my roof, but I never even hooked it up, I put it up about 4 years ago, it couldn't be slimline right?

The LNB's used on the Slimline dishes are not compatible with FTA.

The DTV sats at 99W and 102.8W operate in the Ka band(18GHz+) broadcasting HD content in MPEG4 with Videoguard encryption. As CG indicated this stuff is non-FTA and is of use only to subscribers or experimenters. The dish on your roof is likely to be a Phase3.

the new dtv slim line dish lnbs are not good for true fta, but the dish will work with a lnb change i am using one for 123 galaxy. i had to make a holder for the lnb for proper alinement
