Just read your cry for help in 2006... I have the same prob. that you stated. Everything works correctly up to the download taking place in the "Downloader". The window comes up, but the progress bar shows that nothing is happening. When I / stop the window says "download failed."

What cable/cables are you using, it sounds like your computer and receiver arn't seeing each other.
