Nexus-s ProgDVB frontend not initialized

I have had a Hauppauge Nexus-s pci card for over a year and never been able to get to work on my pc. I just recently decided to test it again to see it I can get it work. I installed the card on my pc (Windows xp), installed the drivers that I down loaded from the internet (Saa7146n.inf) which should be the latest driver for this card and installed ProgDVB using SkyStar 1 Hard Mode as the card type during setup. When I use ProgDVB to start the device (SkyStar 1 Hard Mode) it tells me that it can not initialize frontend, device not started. I have completely removed the drivers and ProgDVB and reloaded them at least 5 times. I have moved the card to a new PCI slot with the same failed results each time. The drivers and device seam to be working properly according to device manager. I just can't get a good fix for this problem any ideas. What started out to be just for fun is now driving me KRAZZZZZY! I'v got to get this thing working.
