Ihub. Worth it or Not?
What is the story on the Ihub? I have noticed a lot of beta issues. Is it worth getting now or should I wait?

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
Sonicview will only get better. IMHO, this may be one of the only way to watch TV for a while...

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
SV's iHub is a work-in-progress but already showing great potential. It's the solution available that'll let you watch both DN premiums and BEV

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
Got that right brother!!!
Set mine up today, works great, whole bunch of BEV channels back that I used to love watching.
Real easy setup.
I can only imagine if this is the start, can't wait for the next leg.
Even has Playboy and a special Porn channel(on Bev781). Fight Channel too.

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
well you are deffinately not paying for the ihub when you pay 99 bucks.
you are paying for the server and the ability to get channels that you will not without it. If you have a sv product it's a no brainer but if you have to buy the receiver and ihub it becomes expensive. pretty much all the 300s are now working on the ihub. Is that good? I think they are doing well and yes I believe they will only get better. If Viewsat releases a stand alone file it will steal the thunder from sv but only for a period time for I think that any premature release of a n3 emulation will spell problems for fta.

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
If VS has a fix or premature release, SV already has it.

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
I have to agree with Richmiami, except to say, if I were just starting out in FTA, I would not hesitate to buy an SV 360 Elite and an iHub. Fortunately, I already own the SV 360 Elite. I love you brothers, thanks for all the comraderie and support! I Love this hobbie !!!

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
I was thinking of getting one for my 8000 and Elite. I bought one last night. I think I will wait and see if the price goes down before I will buy two or three. Thanks for the heads up.

Anybody who releases a proper N3 crack will steal the thunder of course. But then... SV and any other IKS systems can add N3 softcam to their servers and have it up too. Look at NFusion. Sure, they're hated by a lot of people, but can't deny the fact that they probably had the most uptime on N2.

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
I think the only way price will go down is if a manufacturer releases a stand alone fix and even if they do it won't be much because without it you still have a dead receiver. So it becomes a question of if 100 bucks is worth an Ihub or do you invest in a new receiver.

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
The iHub allows you to extend the capabilities of your existing SV360 Elite, 360 Premier or the SV8000 HD. While the product is still in BETA, it shows good progress and promise.
I'd get one now if I had a SV360 or SV8000ZHD unit.

ok say that vs releases a stand alone file
sv will too (follow of course)
what happens when diknt closes the hole or exploits the parts of the card we don't know about (oh you think we know everything about the g3 at this point WRONG)
here we go summer 2006 again
so yeah the ihub is backup and if it becomes just that I have no problems laying out 100 bucks for it. I'm just hedging my bets and winning across the boards. The reward: TV

I have no idea what point of my post you're arguing against...

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
It's getting better with each new bin release. At least on DN, I now get almost no freezing and changing channels is much faster (1-2 sec compared to 20 sec last week). I hope SV can add new channels faster than they are lost (all Disney channels were gone, and my kids cry like dogs :-)

Re: Ihub. Worth it or Not?
There has never been a better time than today to get yourself an iHub if you run an SV360 or an 8000HD unit! And you can take that to the Bank!
