Re: captive 800 or coolsat7000?

I'm a complete newbie so I can't offer any
type of expert opinion.

I was in the same situation I went with the CW800.
The thing is great. Thanks to the many posts from
Arboristman and Grasshopper, I was up and running
within a few minutes after opening the box.

The CW800 is a great price and from reading many sites,
they are usually the first, or one of the first ones to have
a fix out. I highly recommend the unit.

My one gripe about it is that the remote is kind of weak and
flimsy. If I can find a universal remote that words with Captiveworks
I'm going to buy it for sure.

Also the setup guide below REALLY helped me:

http://www.abadss.com/forum/273-newb...-pro-plus.html

You probably can't go wrong with either, but I'd personally
lean towards the CW800 based on my ownership and hours
of reading.

Good Luck,

TS

Re: captive 800 or coolsat7000?

here is a tip for you.go to the downloads section.check the dates on when files come out.this may give you a good idea on how quickly fixes for each come out.
then you decide.

I have the 7000, had it for a few months. Works great......easy to set up. The flash drive makes it easy to update. I'm happy with it.
