sv8k with add on for a mpeg4 stb
and the captain 8k for a mpeg2 only hd stb

though,coming soon perhaps sometime this spring or summer are some new toys.

cnx will be joining in for the first time with an hd unit.

sv will be coming with a newer hd unit.

captain is coming out with a real sweetie.mpeg4 HD/pvr/dvd burner/iks and who knows what else lol.nice media center anyway.and with captains prices but still high quality,this ones going to really give ya a run for your money by the sounds of things.
(im just assuming the iks part,as the other models are supported via iks now also.don't know yet if an Ethernet port will be built in.)

I agree, i have owned a pansat 9200, viewsat ultra and now i 2 sonicview 8000s! simply the best. Good luck with your purchase.

They All Work With The Same Files So Went They Kill All The Recivers You Spent 200 300 Thats My Point Here Not Here To Tell You Spent Money If You Want A Reciver Go With Sv4000 Easy Fast Is Only ........... 130dls Us Thats All ...........thats My Point

This is a great choice, I would like to add that with 8psk Q board added when the last 2 ECM hit I was still watching HD channels on DN, so I was not without TV for those few hours all others where down. Love my Sonicview 8000
