Ho did the Captain 7100 get through the last ECM?

I looked at the last bin download date, sure is not of late. But again I don't read anything about the Captain being down or for that matter, up!

I continue to struggle selecting a new receiver to purchase. Been all over the place trying to make up my mind. At first I thought I needed a HD receiver which Captain offers. Sonicview, one of my favorites has the 8000 WITH A FAN IN IT. I can just picture Wifey's reaction to listening to a FAN so that is out of the question.

OK, FORGET ABOUT HD! But I contineu to make my trade offs. I would consider the Sonicview 4000 but I have a 1000 and I need a backup strategy. OH, HIGH PRIORITY is a USB port for downloading. I will not consider a unit that lacks one. Also the unit must have decent support.

What's wrong with the Captain 8000HD, with a dongle?
It's cheap HD STB, with USB loading, amazing 5 year warranty, solid support, and the only HD receiver on the market with IKS(with dongle).

As for a simple unit with excellent support and USB loading, you might wanna look into the CW700, VS Ultra, SV4000, CNX Mini, all excellent units,

yeah the captians stayed up.(not sure about cardless,but its up now of course) but yup iks is good.
try a 7100usb with a dongle if your not into hd.you will be very satisfied with her.

and hey.don't let that fan in the sv8k scare you.its not really that loud.
and there are super quite fans you can install,and you wont even hear it at all.
no way you can hear it with tv on anyway.has to be pretty quite in the room to hear her.
its just a little tiny thing.no where as loud as your pc runs or anything like that.
but some have them in bedrooms,so they toss the quite fan in it.there is a sticky thread in the help section to show ya how to do it.pretty cheap too.
if your even thinking going HD,then just grab one,you will laugh at yourself for even debating it once you have it.its a killer stb buddy.just way over the top.all the research iv done on her,and i still had no clue it was this nice.
