Pvr - dvr ???
Hello all, I want to know if there is a FTA Receiver that record a LiveTV (Like TiVo), I have the CoolSat 8000HD PVR and I can't record LiveTV as my DN service DVR receiver...

Did you get an external hard drive for it, because you should be able to do what you want.

yes!!!, I already have a ext. Hard Drive (Seagate Free Agent 500 Gb. 7200rpm), but I only can used like a recorder, i need to push the record botton to record something, or just scheduled a show to record, but no liveTV, like if I want rewind liveTV?

yes that is peossiablewith STB's that have the PVR function like the CW800, Nfusion, SV360 Elite/Premier, and there are lost of other boxes that have PVR, also the upcoming Pansat 9200 HD (PVR) is also coming

I use nfpvrwin on my nfusion and you can view while recording, now if your asking about recording one channel and viewiing another at the same time as TIVO, you'll probably need dual sources to record from. I use two Nfusions for picture in picture so I have the second source to watch another channel.

You can record a show while watching other as long they are in the same TP's

Yes what bud says is right, meaning if you are watching a Sports Channel you can watch only the channels that are provided after you press the ok buttons only a couple of channels will apeear, becuase those are the only channels under thsoe TP's

on my 360 elite there is a function called timeshifting that will do all you want for live tv. it is either turned on all the time or manualy turned on when you want it. the box save's approx 22gig for this function and is not part of the recording section of the box.
