need opinion
Is the viewsat lite better than the pansat 2700, im looking at the pricing difference. If not which is the best receiver to buy.

the viewsat lite and the viewsat ultra lite are both better than the panny 2700a,yes.
the 2500/2700/China made 2800/3500 are all same base stb with the old 81mhz chip.(slow and very outdated).just as you go up,you have better outputs and a little more ram,along with old sd card updating with 3500.

I agree with arbor I have the 2500 is slow and I have de 3500sd much better and for a little more you can get the sv platinum that is even faster
