Hello

. I keep seeing people post that the PVR function of this device has issues. What does this mean? The only reason I want one of these boxes is so that I can record tv shows while at work. I hear so many complaints about the PVR. Most say it works sometimes and not other times. If this is the case what is the point of the PVR and why don't they fix it? My friend has the 8000HD model and NEVER can get the PVR function to work by itself with a timer. If he sits in front of it and hits record it will work. Is this the same issue with this model? Is there a better box out there with a PVR that actually works? Thanks for your help and time.

i would say that 90% of people are happy with the pvr function
most problems being had are user error
for instance when you set a program to record by timer you have to leave the harddrive on in standby mode and if you flip the back switch on the stb then that will erase the timer memory so if you want to use the timer you have to just turn off via the remote

I think evil is right. Most users that start using the PVR function of the 360 really don't understand how to set it up and use it. The 360 still has some minor bugs, but rest assured Sonicview will fix these. Here is the manual to follow the PVR setup...

The only thing I know its that you need to format the Hard disk if you don't it will not work.
