i agree with the sonicview i have been up now through 2 small ecm and love it .. keep watching .. the 360 premier is a great little machine and records too .. if you want a dual tuner to record several shows you can try the 360 elite but you will need to run 2 cables from the dish (most of the time ) to run the 2 tuners

Re: need help, thinking about buying a 7100

those new 360 sonicviews are so impressive.even if there where people who where never particularly fans of sv in the past, can't help but takes notice of these gems.
and look at the prices on them to boot.
their just sure winners.

you know another that's really grabbing my attention is the new one from captiveworks.
their ultima stb.
finally a pvr unit that will record to the hdd directly to mpeg.no more conversions needed for those who burn allot to dvd.
id like to know if you can set your bitrates etc with that sucker.
i still have some researching to do on it.but its so new,iv not yet read a whole lot of tester results yet.
first one to include a nes emulator too.that's pretty neat.when tv goes down you guys can play some retro games lol.
i don't really know how stable it is or anything yet as a receiver and pvr function tho.
usually takes a few months for new stbs to work out bugs.but from a few things iv read,it seems to be holding it own thus far.

Re: need help, thinking about buying a 7100

As iI told a friend of mine yesterday as an stb the 7100 makes agreat door stop. Used to be great but the last few months have been bad hovever everyone has had problems and I have no experience with any other boxes. I would wait to buy a box until the n3 switch on dn no matter what you get it may end up being a brick. Bev has been down a long time on all the stb's Nfusion is the only one partially up on bev until I see some sucess with bev with any of the stb's I will just keep my money in my pocket and be happy with what I get.
