Very new, Help With Choices but have a few requisites
Hi, I just have a plasma tv with no receiver/no dish nothing...Im very new.
I was looking at this setup:
Onesat Canada - Lowest Prices on Free To Air (FTA) Satellite Dishes, Receivers and Accessories, Nfusion FTA Satellite Receiver Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Nfusion Nuvenio HD Free To Air Satellite Receiver Toronto, Ontario, Canada <meta name="verify-v1"
But then I seen like 4 other models that I liked(captive, viewsat, etc)
Is the package I listed overpriced and does it have EVERYTHING I need or will I be having to order additional stuff off the internet to get this project goin?
All I want to do is watch UFC in HD, get HDNET, and maybe a few HD movie channels and I would be happy. Recording capabilities would be nice too. Would I be able to EASILY set all that up with the sv8000HD or should I get something else?
Last, and most newish question... I've heard that alot of these receivers can only be used for like a year then they stop working and u have to buy a new one...Any truth to this? I thought you could just keep upgrading the software and it will work.

Looks like a pretty good combo...fair price too

Not true. they will work until it breaks. you'll want to upgrade to a vip membership so you can download the latest files.

Not a bad deal you got there.

Re: Very new, Help With Choices but have a few requisites
Thanks for the quick reply!
I've been doin more research and I've came across this moduleation box type thing...To get DN HD. Do I NEED DN? I imagine UFC HD PPVs are on BEV as well? I heard there were some sound issues there.... Am I gonna need to buy the box? Im assuming no....
Anyway Im 90 pct sure what I want now and Im gonna order it within the next 3 days. I should get the VIP membership soon as well(probably before I get my stuff...)

Re: Very new, Help With Choices but have a few requisites
that looks like a good deal the only other thing you will need to order is an A1-module to get the dn hd channels
the sv8000hd is hd and pvr capable with use of an external harddrive for recording
the only receiver getting bev at the moment is nfusion and they don't get the ppv at the moment
