Re: i am thinkin about getting a captain 8000 hd?
for cardless the sv8000 around $340 plus you need an 8psk module for dn hd
for iks nfusion hd $375 and will still need a 8psk for dn hd

it all depends really.
pansat 9200 is best if you have a large C band dish.
or a coolsat 8100 as well.
captain 8k would work "fair" for C band.doesn't have good blind scan like coolie/panny.but its WAY cheaper too.
the nfusion hd unit is best if your looking for iks.nothing comes close to this support via 3rd party yet.they are over a quarter year ahead of the competition already, and likely to just keep on gaining uptime over the others via bev/dn support.
sonicview is simply the best running hd unit on the market because it has been out longest.they have features, and overall software above the others with their highly advanced software development coders.
pretty much everyone who has one of these love them.
also works good as a multimedia player.mp3/jpg/divx
this ones the current hd king.
by far the # 1 rated hd unit on the market today.
the viewsat max unit is also an up and coming hd unit.needs some work still, but looks nice.
no blind scan with these ones(pay no attention to the specs if its listed).so if you plan on running a motor, prepare to have another stb for blind scanning.3rd party seems "decent" from what im reading.
the cw 4k is all out multimedia computer, essentially.
this will do it all.search the web.run game emulators, play countless mp3/jpg/divx.etc.etc.etc. pretty much everything you can do with a pc.
Linux os.be prepared to "hit the books" to get this one up and learn all its features.but the features this one can do,and advantages, are just incredible.
just prepare to study and read allot if you chose this one.
