Re: Homesat???

They are not one of the main players, they are a Coolsat derrivative.

Are you thinking of getting another receiver?

CaptiveWorks 600S, 600P or 700 would be my bet for a 'cheap' second receiver for use in a secondary application such as that which you describe. These are about $90-120$ typically, and they have decent file support.

Re: Homesat???

Sure, the BIN files are not that large - so sure that would be great.

Re: Homesat???

Check the Neosat PRO. Maybe a little more money but not much, especially for the quality you are getting

I have a Homesat V6. Bought it 3 weeks ago 5 days after the last fix. Everything works on the receiver. Yes I get the few FTA channels but of course no working channels from the last 11647f bin from 02-07-2008.

My question is I just cant seem to enter new keys manually and It states it will not accept any lower versions. Hard boot, soft boot, reinstall, nothing seems to change my ability to manually change keys nor can I remove the last bin.

Is there anything wrong with my homesat or is this just the way it is and there is not new updates available due to it being compatible with the ariza extreme! One would think the guys who left ARIZA would want their Homesat to be promoted?

Anyway please if some one can assist with my questions I would surely appreciate it. I just want to know if there is anything I might still do to get manual keys? Older bins I have read do say punch in 8282 or 1234 but none of these work on my homesat.
