well i just double checked sonicviewusa. i thought that's where i had read that.but maybe im going crazy lol.
maybe i read it in the manual then.hang on i'l check.
tho,sadly you can't rely on specs with fta units.very often they are just wrong-and with all of them.it is frustrating.

ok the user manual opf the sv 8k claims 500ma
and there are countless users running 1000.2 dishes with no troubles.
that's a bit more than you coolie 7k according to what you have found.(i didn't verify)
those dish pro plus lnbs are power hungry.perhaps with just one fta receiver they do fine.but as you start adding more fta units with these lower output ratings and or add that extra lnb to the lnb IN port then things start going down hill without some extra juice.this has been what iv been noticing reading from others usage through the forums.
