here's some about the sv 8k:

sonicview hd8000 has a good "blind scan" feature not found with the nfusion hd model.
so that means if you have a motor.your going to find MANY more channels and wild feeds that the nfusion hd unit won't even know are there.
many wild feeds are premium events.and many are clean feeds,meaning no commercials.your going to miss them with the nfusion hd unit,as it has to way to search for them.(the active tps always change for these.this why blind scan is so important)
all these will be unaffected by N3.and the sv 8k will still be working great.


there are also no audio/video sync issues when recording/playing back HD via the hdd like reported with nfusion hd unit.
paying allot for HD + DVR.you don't want these issues when trying to enjoy it.
